CFL Exchange Update

The Cooperative’s CFL exchange began in 2008. Many members received a box of three CRL energy-efficient light bulbs. Here is an update about the energy and money members have saved since the program’s inception.

• As of June 30, 2009, 4,919 members received a box of CFLs
• 14,757 CFLs were distributed
• $59,028 was saved for the year. One CFL equals $4.00 saved per year, assuming a three-hours per day use.
• 664,065 kilowatt hours saved per year
