Take Action Now: Proposed cut to RUS electric loan program

Please contact your U.S. Representative and U.S. Senators and urge them to support the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) electric loan program. Electric cooperatives depend on RUS lending for investment in infrastructure as well as for investment in new sources of electric generation.

President Obama's fiscal year 2011 budget proposal recommends severe cuts for electricity loans and restrictions on how the funds may be used. Click here to send a message to your legislators. Take Action Now and urge your representatives in Washington D.C. to maintain fiscal year 2010 levels of $6.5 billion for the electric loan program administered by RUS and reject further restrictions.
