The cooperative hosted an open house at the newly built Safe Haven Farms in May. Safe Haven Farms is a nonprofit organizations offering residential, day and community services for adults with autism. On this 59 acre farm in Madison Township, there are currently four residential homes on the property, with two more slated for construction within the next year. A day-hab building is currently being designed and will ultimately include a craft center, learning center, life skills center, and sensory room. The residential houses at Safe Haven are Touchstone Energy homes, providing greater comfort, lower energy bills, energy efficiency, and improved environmental benefits. The cooperative provides electricity to Safe Haven Farms.
