Youth Scholarships
Children of Consumers Scholarship
Every year, Butler Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. awards two first-place college scholarships for $2,000 each, and two second-place scholarships for $1,200 each to high school seniors whose parents or guardians are members of the Cooperative.
The top ten boys and the top ten girls are then selected, and are invited to participate in interviews with judges. If you are in the top ten, you must be available to interview on Thursday, March 8, 2012 after 5 p.m. The top male and the top female student receive the $2,000 scholarships; the second-place male and the second-place female receive the $1,200 scholarships.
The first-place students also participate in the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives scholarship competition held in Columbus, OH. They have a chance to receive one of six scholarships offered at the state level.

Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship
The Touchstone Energy Achievement scholarship was created to reward students who have committed themselves to the pursuit of a college education despite obstacles that may have been in their way. There will be only one winner from Butler Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. That winner will be awarded $1,000. He or she will then go to Columbus to compete for more scholarship opportunities.
