| | There are three ways to save on energy costs with the government's Stimulus Package: weatherization, energy efficiency tax credit, and renewable energy tax credit. The energy tax credit gives you a credit of up to $1,500 for insulating, sealing, and weather stripping your home. With the renewable energy tax credit, you get a tax credit for 30% of the cost for installing renewable energy generation. This credit is available for qualified improvement to both existing homes and new construction between 2009 and 2016. |
